    Applicatio

    Carbidum silicii viride producitur calefaciendo arenae siliceae et fontis carbonis, typice coke petrolei, ad altas temperaturas in fornace magna. Ex hoc processu altae temperaturae evenit formatio crystallina granorum Carbidi silicii. Pulveres carburi silicii altae qualitatis, aqua classificati, ad normas exactas graduati.

    Pulvis carburi silicii viridis est materia abrasiva durissima, aequabili distributione magnitudinis particularum praedita. Durities eius tantum post adamantum et B4C numeratur, et durior est quam carburus silicii niger. Itaque aptus est ad molendam amplam varietatem materiarum durarum, ut mixturarum titanii, marmoris, mixturarum carburi, vitri optici, ceramicarum, et cetera.

    Ex altera parte, carburum silicii viride proprietates extraordinarias habet, ut stabilitatem chemicam magnam, expansionem thermalem humilem, et aptum est ad tunicas resistentiam caloris et corrosionis, picturas, et alia producta aedificatoria.
